## Summary

Google's new Gemini universal agent writes and runs code, plugs into Gmail, Docs, Drive, Sheets, Slack and Microsoft 365, and can spin up temporary job-specific agents that work together for days. Google's Cloud CEO Thomas Kurian said you never have to re-brief it.

## Key takeaways

- Google's Gemini universal agent writes and runs code and plugs into Gmail, Docs, Drive, Sheets, Slack and Microsoft 365.
- It can spin up temporary job-specific agents that work together for days.
- Google's Cloud CEO Thomas Kurian said you never have to re-brief it, which covers Gemini, not your other tools.
- A shared memory layer gives Gemini, ChatGPT, Claude, Claude Code, Codex and Cursor the same decisions, rules and history.
- With Vilix AI each agent starts with get_context and ends with save_turn, with source labels and saved failures.

## FAQ

**What did Google announce for the Gemini universal agent?**

A workplace agent that writes and runs code, connects to Gmail, Docs, Drive, Sheets, Slack and Microsoft 365, and can create temporary job-specific agents.

**Does Gemini remember between tasks?**

Google says you never have to re-brief it. That memory covers Gemini itself, not the other tools in your stack.

**How do agencies handle this for clients?**

Use one Vilix AI account per client, so every client's agents keep a separate memory.

## Transcript

### Intro

Liam: Hey hey hey, welcome to Agentic Pod! I'm Liam.

Stella: And I'm Stella! And, um, Google's Cloud CEO just said, about their new Gemini agent, quote, "you never have to re-brief it." Liam, I re-brief my tools before breakfast.

Liam: Thomas Kurian said that on stage on October eighth, and I love how confident it sounds.

Stella: Confident is my favorite emotion. So, does it actually remember?

Liam: Let's find out what Google actually announced.

### What Google announced

Stella: Okay, so, uh, what is this thing? Is it another chatbot?

Liam: No, Google calls it a universal agent. You hand it a task, and it hands back a finished product. It writes and runs code, makes images and media, and works like a coworker, say a project manager or a finance analyst.

Stella: And it plugs into my stuff?

Liam: Gmail, Docs, Drive and Sheets, plus Slack and Microsoft 365. It runs in the cloud.

Stella: Mhm. And the part that got me was the teamwork.

Liam: Yeah, it can create temporary, job-specific agents, each with its own identity, and they work together on a goal over several days.

Stella: Several days. So it needs to remember across days, or it's just a very expensive goldfish.

Liam: And Google says it builds memory and skills from the tasks and questions it gets. Which sets up your real question.

### What "never re-brief" really covers

Stella: Right, so, um, if Gemini remembers, why am I still pasting my project into everything else?

Liam: Because the memory lives inside that agent. Gemini learns from what you do in Gemini.

Stella: And my ChatGPT, my Claude Code, my Cursor...

Liam: Different rooms. Kurian's line was "you never have to re-brief it, or wonder which machine you told it to do something on." Notice what's missing from that sentence.

Stella: Other tools.

Liam: Exactly. And most of us juggle ChatGPT, Claude, Claude Code, Codex and Cursor in one week.

Stella: Oh, just one week. Very relaxed.

Liam: So how do you keep one brain across all of them?

### How Vilix AI fixes it

Stella: Okay, okay. That's where Vilix AI comes in, right? Walk me through how it actually works.

Liam: Every tool connects to the same Vilix AI account over MCP. At the start of a task, the agent calls get_context and pulls decisions, rules and history. At the end, it calls save_turn with a source label, so you can see which tool decided what.

Stella: And the label matters because...

Liam: Because Vilix AI keeps full conversations, not a summary. You can search by meaning, by exact words, or by the tool that saved it.

Stella: What about when Cursor and Gemini disagree?

Liam: The newest memory wins. You correct it once and every tool sees the correction.

Stella: And failures?

Liam: Agents save those too, with the error and the conclusion, so the next tool skips the broken approach. Gemini Spark and Gemini CLI connect to Vilix AI as well, so Google's agent can join the same memory.

Stella: Okay, but here's the thing I keep wondering. What about those job-specific agents? Ten agents, one goal, several days.

### Many agents, one job

Liam: Good, because that's where memory gets messy fast. Each agent needs the same picture without you retyping it.

Stella: So, um, project rules?

Liam: Yes. In Vilix AI you create a project for the job and put the rules in it, like "no deleting files" or "reports go in this format." Every agent reads them with get_context.

Stella: And my own preferences?

Liam: Those are user rules, loaded in every tool. And skills hold the step-by-step playbook for a recurring job.

Stella: And if I need to steer an agent mid-job?

Liam: The agent inbox. You send a note, and it arrives with that agent's next Vilix AI read.

Stella: Oh, nice. And agencies?

Liam: One Vilix AI account per client, like a Gmail that belongs to them. Every agent you build for that client shares that memory.

### Takeaways

Stella: Okay, give me the short version.

Liam: Google's agent remembers inside Google's agent. Vilix AI remembers across ChatGPT, Claude, Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and the rest.

Stella: And the free plan is free forever, right?

Liam: Yes, and the seven day Pro trial asks for no card. Links to the full guide, vilix.ai and the setup page are in the description. Which agent would you hand a week of work to? Tell us in the comments. See you next time!
